E-City Ventures enters Silicon Valley of India

Bangalore, Oct 11 (UNI) E-city Ventures promoted Fun Cinemas, which is a pioneer in the cinema exhibition and entertainment in the country, today announced its entry in the Silicon Valley of India Bangalore by opening Multiplex theatre.

Announcing the opening up of Company's 15th Multiplex property in the country, E-City Vebtures CEO Atul Goel said that the company proposes to have 1500 screens by 2011 from the present 240 screens in the country.

He said that in South, the company has has already one Multiplex theatre opened in Gulbarga and proposes to foray into City of Palaces Mysore very shortly.

Mr Goel said that the Multiplex theatre, Fun Cinemas, built over an area of 33,000 sq ft, was equipped with the State-of-the-art technology and three-way surround sound system. The auditorium seating arrangement offers two different options to choose from the Gold Class and the Silver Class to suit individual preferences and budgets.

Replying to a question, Mr Goel said that "there is still a lot to be desired in terms of a truly world-class cinema experience in India. Especially in Tier II and Tier III cities, the cinema-goers do not have much choice when it comes to demanding world class quality experience. We are committed to bring this fascinating experience to the doorsteps of every Indian." Company Chief Operating Officer Vishal Kapur, who was also present, said that tickets can be booked online and food can also be ordered online and it would be supplied to the seat.

Replying to a question, he said that the introductory prices of the tickets would be Rs 100 and Rs 120 and it may be increased in the later dates.
