Deepender Hooda hails hike in MSP for wheat
Chandigarh, Oct 11 (UNI) Hailing the ''unprecedented'' hike in the Minimum Support Price of wheat and announcement of bonus on the purchase of paddy, Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda today expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
In a statement here, Mr Deepender Hooda said that at Jharli Rally, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had urged Mrs Sonia Gandhi to get the MSP on wheat increased besides announcement of bonus on paddy.
He said that both the demands of the Chief Minister had been accepted by the Central government.
He said last year also the Central government had enhanced Rs 200 per quintal in the Minimum Support Price of wheat, which included a bonus of Rs 100 per quintal, and a bonus of Rs 40 per quintal was given for the paddy crop which gave immense financial benefit to the farmers.
