Bomb hoax call creates panic in DC office
Jalandhar, Oct 11 (UNI) Panic gripped in the Deputy Commissioner's (DC) office here today, when an unidentified caller informed that someone had planted a bomb in the office. However, it turned out to be a hoax.
Superintendent of Police (City) SK Kalia told UNI that around 1115 hours, an unidentified person called DC's steno and informed her that he had overheard two persons talking to each other just outside the office that they had planted a bomb in the DC office complex, which they said, would explode within two hours.
The office complex, which was immidiately vacated, was searched by dog and Bomb Disposal Squads but no bomb was recovered in the search, Mr Kalia said.
''We are trying to trace the call so that caller could be identified,'' the SP added.
