BJP confident of sweeping Guj, HP polls: Rudy

Guwahati, Oct 11: BJP national spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy today expressed confidence that his party will sweep the assembly polls in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

He said, ''The BJP is confident of success in the assembly elections in both the states.'' Mr Rudy was in Assam to take stock of the preparedness of the BJP state unit for mid-term Lok Sabha polls, which according to the saffron party could take place any moment.

The election schedule for Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh were announced for December by the Election Commission yesterday. Underlining the importance of the two state elections, Mr Rudy said, '' The BJP's success in those two states will open doors for creation and establishment of a BJP-led NDA government at the Centre again.
