8 highway robbers booked under NSA

Badaun, Oct 11 (UNI) Eight members of an inter-district highway robbery gang were today booked under the National Security Act (NSA).

Police superintendent (city) Jagdish Singh said here, the gang had killed a trader, Vipin Chhabra, on July 25 aboard an AC bus and decamped with Rs ten lakh.

Some other passengers were also robbed by the gang, Mr Singh informed.

Those booked, include Hira, Datram, Dhirendra, Jitendra, Jhabbu, Ranjit, Ali and Banti.
