Young man done to death by gang

Chennai, Oct 10 (UNI) A 30-year-old man was murdered in broad daylight by an unidentified gang at Otteri in North Chennai, today.

Police sources told UNI that the deceased was identified as Arumairajan.

The victim was walking on the Perambur Barracks road around 0700 hrs, when the gang, armed with lethal weapons, attacked him, inflicted cut wounds all over the body and fled the scene.

Arumairajan was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

The motive behind the murder was not immediately known and police were on the look out for the assailants.
