Student leaders' observe 'kala divas' against banning of Union Polls

Allahabad, Oct 10 (UNI) Student leaders at the Allahabad University (AU) observed 'kala divas' for the second consecutive day today to protest the decision of the Mayawati Government to ban Students Union Polls in the state.

The leaders organised a meeting at the CMP College, affiliated to the AU, where they discussed the strategies of their movement.

The agitators had also been demanding equal fee structure in the AU affiliated colleges for a long time.

They would hand over a notice tomorrow to the Vice Chancellor and sit on a 'dharna' at the peace zone.
