Spl Naval recruitment drive for sailors on Oct 17-18

Kochi, Oct 10 (UNI) The Navy will organise a special recruitment drive at Alappuzha on October 17 and 18 to induct sailors in the Indian Navy under the Senior Secondary Recruits (SSRs), a first batch of the 2008.

An official release here today said unmarried male Indian citizens, born between February 1, 1987 and January 31, 1991, who had passed 10+2 exams with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects, were eligible to appear in the test.

Candidates desiring to participate in the drive are to report at the 'SD College', Alappuzha at 0630 hrs on October 17, with the required testimonials.

The candidates should be residents of Kerala, Tamil Nadu or Karnataka.

The test comprises a written test, physical fitness test and medical examination.
