Spl. Naval recruitment drive for sailors on Oct. 17-18

Kochi, Oct 10 (UNI) The Navy is to organize a special recruitment drive at Alappuzha on October 17 and 18 to induct sailors in the Indian Navy under the Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) 1/2008 batch.

Unmarried male Indian citizens, born between February one, 1987 and January 31, 1991, who have qualified their 10+2 exams with Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects, are eligible to appear in the test, an official release said here today.

Candidates desiring to participate in the drive are to report at the 'SD College', Alappuzha at 0630 hrs on October 17, with the required documents.

The candidates should be residents of Kerala, Tamil Nadu or Karnataka.

The test comprises a written paper, physical fitness test and medical examination.
