Norton launches new security and anti - virus softwares

Mumbai, Oct 10 (UNI) Leading anti - virus and security maker Symantec today launched the ''Norton Internet Security 2008'' and ''Norton Antivirus 2008'' which will be available in Hindi and English versions for the Indian market.

The products boast of new and improved features like browser defender, one-click support, reduced scan period, faster boot time and 69 per cent less memory usage.

''There is a threat around us, 86 per cent of computer attacks took place among home users and every third or fifth computer in India has been hacked. The softwares will provide a complete protection,'' Symantec Managing Director Vishal Dhupar said while launching the products.

Norton Internet Security 2008 will retail at Rs 2,319 for a PC license including a one-year subscription to use the product and receive updates. The Norton Antivirus 2008 is priced at Rs 1,719 with similar facilities.
