L Pachuau is Mizoram's new top cop

Aizawl, Oct 10: Lalrokhuma Pachuau assumed charge as the state's Director General of Police today.

Soon after he joined his office, Mr L Pachuau met Chief Minister Zoramthanga and Home Minister Tawnluia.

Born in 1955 at Chhipphir village in Mizoram, Pachuau entered IPS from Karnataks cadre in 1977 after he graduated. He had served as Aizawl SP during 1988 to 1991, and as additional DGP in Karnataka at the time he was deputed for the Mizoram's DGP post.
