HC issues notice to CS on Gujjar agitation

Jaipur, Oct 10 (UNI) The Rajasthan High Court today asked the state chief secretary to explain the measures taken by the Vasundhra Raje government to address the inconvenience caused to the general public due to the Gujjar agitation.

Justice R M Lodha and Mahesh Chandra Sharma of the Jaipur Bench of the Rajasthan High court issued the order while accepting a PIL by the president of the Prabhudh Manch, Ajmer.

The court in its order said the chief secretary through an affidavict explain the measures taken by the state government to address the inconvenience caused to masses due to the Gujjar agitation and the steps taken to maintain law and order.

The court will take up the PIL tomorrow. The petitioner pointed out that people had to face a lot of harships due to the agitation as road and rail traffic was disrupted at many places.
