Nagpur, Oct 10 (UNI) A breathtaking air show marked the conclusion of the platinum jubilee celebrations of the Indian Air Force (IAF, 1932-2007) here today.

The air show consisted of a thrilling display of aerobatics by the famed 'Suryakiran' team, a flypast by the mighty fighters and precision manoeuvres by skydivers from the 'Akashganga' team of the IAF, besides a static display of aircraft and equipment.

The aerobatics display was a visual delight as the team went through a string of complex formations. The flypast featured waves of Jaguar, Mirage and Sukhoi (SU30) aircraft, which flew in from bases as far as Gwalior, Jodhpur and Gorakhpur and were even refuelled midair from IL-78.

The static display included the IL-76 transport aircraft, the Jaguar, the Mirage and the SU30, besides missiles, rockets, bombs, a robotic vehicle and a missile-launching platform.
