Bharti Airtel market cap crosses two lakh crores

Mumbai, Oct 10 (UNI) Country's telecom leader, Bharti Airtel became the fourth company in India to cross two lakh crore market capitalisation after Reliance Industries, Azim Premji's Wipro and PSU oil major ONGC.

With the ongoing bull run, the stock has been witnessing euphoric rally for the past one month with the stock's hitting new highs. The share was trading at Rs 1,102.20, up 5.95 per cent, with volumes of 1,76,961 shares. The market cap stood at Rs 2,09,165 crore.

First generation entrepreneur and promoter of the group, Mr Sunil Bharti Mittal's net worth has skyrocketed in the past one month and he is now worth 1.44 lakh crore. Mr Mittal holds 69.03 per cent stake in Bharti Airtel.

Wipro crossed the Rs two lakh crore mark in 2000, ONGC achieved the feat in 2006. Mukesh Ambani Group Company, Reliance Industries remains on the top with more than three lakh crore market cap.
