About 85 pc voters cast votes for KDAPMC elections

Kolhapur, Oct 10 (UNI) About 85 per cent voters exercised their franchise for the Kolhapur District Agriculture Produce Market Committee's (KDAPMC) elections held here today.

As many as 782 candidates contested the 19 seats of KDAPMC, in which the main tussle is between the ruling Congress and Jan Surajya Party, an ally of NCP.

The polling was passed off peacefully and the counting of votes will be conducted tomorrow here, election office sources said.
