Orissa CM directs to fill up 36,000 vacant posts

Bhubaneswar, Oct 9 (UNI) Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today directed initiation of steps to absorb nearly 36,000 posts lying vacant in the state.

All important posts lying vacant in the Water Resources, Forest and Environment, SC &ST, School and Mass Education, Agriculture, Women and Child Development, Panchayati Raj, Higher Education, Food Supply and Consumer Welfare, Excise, Fishery and Animal Husbandry department would be filled up he directed, according to sources.

The decision would help in the expeditious implementation of various welfare schemes of the government and create employment opportunities in the government level.

Both technically trained as well as general graduates would be benefited by the decision, the sources said.

The government, the sources said, was trying to widen the employment opportunities for self-employment through industrialisation and development of Information Technology under the Employment Mission.
