CCEA approves upgradation of Iron ore handling facility

New Delhi, Oct 9 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today approved upgradation and modernisation of iron ore handling facilities at the Outer Harbour of Visakhapatnam Port at an estimated cost of Rs 185.15 crores.

''The decision will enable the port to handle higher traffic leading to increased revenue for the port and will improve productivity and efficiency in handling iron ore at the port,'' Finance Minister P Chidambaram told reporters after the CCEA meet here.
