Ex-Labour Minister resigns from SP, joins BSP

Jaunpur, Oct 8 (UNI) Senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and former Uttar Pradesh labour minister Deep Chand Sonkar today resigned from his party and joined the ruling BSP.

Taking to mediapersons here after taking oath as a BSP leader, Mr Sonear said, ''SP has gone astray...the uplift of Sonkar community is only possible under the BSP regime.'' He was MLA from Shahganj (reserved) assembly constituency in 1985 and 1989.
