Arrest of zila panchayat chief's husband stayed

Allahabad, Oct 8 (UNI) Allahabad High Court has stayed the arrest of the husband of zila panchayat chairperson, Allahabad, Rekha Singh, in connection with an FIR lodged against him on September 24 at Kotwali police station.

This order was passed by a bench comprising Justices K S Rakhra and S C Nigam on a writ petition filed by Rekha's husband Ashok.

The allegation against the petitioner was that he had threatened BSP MLA from City South constituency Nand Gopal Gupta alias Nandi.
