Two lady teachers die in road mishap in Gujarat

Anand, Gujarat, Oct 6 (UNI) Two middle-aged lady teachers were killed on Ahmedabad-Vadodara highway after their two-wheelers were hit by a speeding tanker at Pij Chokdi near Nadiad town, about 25 km from here, today.

According to police sources, the incident took place this afternoon. One of the teachers died on the spot, while another died at civil hospital at Nadiad later.

One of them has been identified as Geeta Kanayalal Ramanuj (37), while the identity of the other teacher is yet to be ascertained, police added.

Police have registered a case of accidental death.
