Bangalore, Oct 7 (UNI) Many of the Janata Dal (S) legislators, not ''happy'' with the party's decision of not handing over power to the BJP, and the revolt came in open with JD(S) party MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Mahima J Patel resigning to his post in protest.

Speaking to UNI JD(S) the legislator, son of Former Karnataka Chief Minister J H Patel, said a majority of the party legislators had disapproved of the decision of party President H D Devegowda on power transfer.

The dissident legislators held a separate meeting after the JDLP meet convened by the Chief Minister this morning and distanced themselves from the party's stand.

Mr Patel is the first leader to openly protest the party's decision. Several other legislators had shared similar sentiments but were not able to tell it directly to the Chief Minister, he said.
