Ram Sethu controversy: BJP demands dismissal of Karunanidhi govt

Mathura, Oct 7 (UNI) Launching a verbal broadside at the M Karunanidhi led-Tamil Nadu government for passing ''unholy'' remarks on Lord Ram, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today asked the Congress led-United Progressive Alliance (UPA) at the Centre to dismiss the former's regime and have a clear policy with regard to the Ram Sethu issue.

''The ignoramus passing unholy remarks on Lord Ram and challenging His existence are showcasing how deep knowledge do they possess about Indian culture and tradition,'' BJP state unit Ramapati Ram Tripathi told newspersons here.

''I demand the Centre to dismiss the union ministers in the Karunanidhi led-DMK quota to teach a lesson to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister for passing ignominious remarks on the Lord,'' Mr Tripathi underlined.

Asking the UPA to frame a clear policy with respect to the Ram Sethu issue, the BJP leader charged Sonia Gandhi led Congress with hatching a conspiracy to destroy the under sea bridge, associated with the religious sentiments of the Hindus across India and abroad. ''So far, Congress has not given any clear statement in this regard.'' UNI
