Ram Sethu controversy: BJP demands dismissal of Karunanidhi govt
Mathura, Oct 7 (UNI) Launching a verbal broadside at the M Karunanidhi led-Tamil Nadu government for passing ''unholy'' remarks on Lord Ram, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today asked the Congress led-United Progressive Alliance (UPA) at the Centre to dismiss the former's regime and have a clear policy with regard to the Ram Sethu issue.
''The ignoramus passing unholy remarks on Lord Ram and challenging His existence are showcasing how deep knowledge do they possess about Indian culture and tradition,'' BJP state unit Ramapati Ram Tripathi told newspersons here.
''I demand the Centre to dismiss the union ministers in the Karunanidhi led-DMK quota to teach a lesson to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister for passing ignominious remarks on the Lord,'' Mr Tripathi underlined.
Asking
the
UPA
to
frame
a
clear
policy
with
respect
to
the
Ram
Sethu
issue,
the
BJP
leader
charged
Sonia
Gandhi
led
Congress
with
hatching
a
conspiracy
to
destroy
the
under
sea
bridge,
associated
with
the
religious
sentiments
of
the
Hindus
across
India
and
abroad.
''So
far,
Congress
has
not
given
any
clear
statement
in
this
regard.''
