JD(S)-BJP govt in Kar crumbles as BJP withdraws of support

Bangalore, Oct 7 (UNI) The 20-month-old Janata Dal (Secular)- Bharatiya Janata Party government headed by H D Kumaraswamy in Karnataka today crumbled following withdrawal of support by the BJP.

The end of the government came when BJP leaders led by State Party Chief Sadanananda Gowda and senior party leader B S Yediyurappa went to Raj Bhavan and submitted a formal letter to Governor Rameshwar Thakur this afternoon.

Announcing this to newsmen after coming out of Raj Bhavan Mr Yediyurappa demanded immediate dismissal of the government following withdrawal of support. He said his party would opt for mid term elections in the state.
