Hurriyat Conference celebrate's Pak president Musharraf's win

Srinagar, Oct 7 (UNI) Hundreds of Awami Action Committee (AAC) members, a constituent of Hurriyat Conference (HC) led by Mirwaiz Moulvi Omar Farooq, today celebrated re-electing of Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf.

Holding a big photograph of General Musharraf, the supporters of AAC, also headed by Mirwaiz Omar, took to the streets at Mirwaiz Manzil in the downtown.

Raising pro Pakistan and Pro Musharraf slogans, they marched through different streets in the down town besides civil lines, including historic Lal Chowk, bursting crackers.

The HC led by Mirwaiz supports General Musharraf's stand on Kashmir issue while another faction of the HC headed by Syed Ali Shah Geelani opposed it.

Mirwaiz Omar accused India of not responding to the four-point formula presented by Pakistan president to resolve the Kashmir issue.

However, Mr Geelani said Pakistan government showed unnecessary flexibility in its half a century old stand on Kashmir issue.
