4 more Haryana villages become CFL villages

Hisar, Oct 7: In its on going campaign for energy conservation Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has declared four more village in the Narnaul operation circle as CFL villages.

A total of 958 power guzzler incandescent bulbs were replaced with the energy efficient compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) in the villages of Mukundpura, Majra Kalan, Dhani Santa and Bharsana.

The total number of CFL villages in the Narnaul circle has now jumped upto 61.

DHBVN officials camped in these villages setting up CFL stalls and went from door-to-door along with sarpanches and other members of the panchayats to persuade the residents to replace the traditional yellow bulbs with the energy efficient CFLs.
