Ancient idols of Radha-Krishna worth Rs 3 cr missing
Badaun, Oct 7 (UNI) Precious 'ashtadhatu' idols of Radha-Krishna, estimated over Rs three crore in the international market, were today stolen from an ancient temple here.
The theft was reported from Saifallaganj colony in Sahasvan area, where burglars stormed the temple and decamped with the idols, Senior Superintendent of Police Prakash D said here.
The idols, weighing 15 kg in total, were estimated to be of over Rs three crore.
Manager of the temple Dinesh Chandra said the idols were installed in the temple about 100 years back.
In a similar incident four days back, ancient idols went missing from a temple in Ujhani area also.
