IDA organises mass brushing event to enter Limca Book of Records

Chennai, Oct 5 (UNI) The Indian Dental Association (IDA) today organised a mass brushing programme, involving 15,000 students from 1,000 schools across the city, in a bid to enter their names in the Limca Book of Records.

IDA Chennai chapter Coordinator Dr M S Chandragupta said the mass brushing programme also coincided with a mega dental camp organised in association with Karuna International.

During the programme, every student was given a dental health pack, pamphlet on dental hygiene and a participation certificate.

The students were taught the brushing technique and also about the importance of dental hygiene and brushing habits.

The Phillippinas Dental Association had attempted similar mass brushing programme involving 11,000 students. ''But we are going a step ahead covering 15,000 students to etch our name in Limca Book of Records'', he added.
