Vigilance sleuth arrests Officer for accepting bribe

Patna,Oct 04 (UNI) Bihar state vigilance Bureau today arrested Priya Ranjan Kumar Mehta, an Officer-In- charge of Vidupur police station in Vaishali district while accepting the bribe money.

ADG of the Bureau Mr Neelmani here said,acting on the complain of a villager Ram Surat Rai the bureau officials laid a trap and caught Mr Ram red handed.

According to charges Mr Mehta had demanded Rs three thousand from Mr Rai for sending case diary of his brother to the court inspite of the orders from SP.

Arrested officer incharge Mr Mehta was being interrogated and would be produced before the vigilance court in Muzaffarpur tomorrow.
