UP Urdu Academy reconstituted
Lucknow, Oct 4 (UNI) The Mayawati-led Uttar Pradesh government has reconstituted the UP Urdu Academy.
While Chief Minister Mayawati would be the academy chairperson, Ms Tarranum Akeel of Moradabad is the vice chairperson.
Twenty members for executive committee and 44 for general body have been nominated.
Principal Secretary (Bhasha) Ashok Ghosh today said executive committee comprises Tasneem Farooqi, Dr Masudul Hassan Usmani, Ms Sabeeha Anwar, Izharul Haq (Lucknow), Chaudhary Imtiyaz Ahmad (Rae Bareli), Maulana Jiya Uddin Islami (Azamgarh), Deva Sharif and Mohd Waris Kirmani (Barabanki).
There are also several ex-officio members of the executive committee.
