Traders observe bandh in Jetpur against proposed toll naka
Rajkot, Oct 4 (UNI) All commercial establishments were closed today in Jetpur town, about 70 km from here, to protest setting up of two proposed toll nakas there.
The call for bandh was given by the Jetpur Chamber of Commerce and Dyeing and Printing Works Association, to protest against setting up of the two proposed toll nakas within the radius of 36 km near Jetpur Highway.
The agitators also blockaded the road near Pithadia, causing 'chakka jam' on the highway. However, police intervened and cleared the traffic, a report from Jetpur said.
Private practitioners of Jetpur town also supported the bandh.
Police had been deployed there to avert any untoward incident.
