Three members of a family drowned

Kolar (Karnataka), Oct 4 (UNI) Three members of a family, including a four-year old boy, were drowned in a pond in Gollapalli village in Kenchamaranahalli Police Station limits in this District yesterday.

Police said that Balaji, who went for drinking water in the pond, slipped and fell into the water, his mother Gouramma (25) who went to his rescue also fell into the water. The boy's grand mother Krishnamma (50) who went to rescue them also found watery grave.

All the bodies were recovered and handedover to the relatives after postmortem.
