Sena activists burn Sonia, Karunanidhi's effigies in Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 4 (UNI) Shiv Sena activists today burnt the effigies of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at ITO crossing in Central Delhi, while accusing them of showing disrespect to Lord Ram.

They sat on a dharna and shouted slogans against the two leaders.

Leading the agitation, Mr Jaybhagwan Goel, head of Sena's Northern India wing, said Mr Karunanidhi has hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus by speaking against Lord Ram.

He accused the UPA government of targetting the Hindus by filing affidavits that cast aspersions on Hindu culture and the Ramayana.

He called upon people to join in large numbers to oppose the Government's move to demolish the Ram setu.
