Precious metals down

Mumbai, Oct 4 (UNI) Precious metals were down today as silver fell by Rs 175 per kg and gold by Rs 115 per ten gm on lack of demand, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the opening rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg).999 fineness grade: Rs 17,915 Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,325 Gold 99.9 purity pure Gold : Rs 9,370.
