Osram to double production capacity by 2010

Sonepat, Oct 4 (UNI) Leading global lighting solutions manufacturer Osram, today said it will double its production capacity in India by 2010 by building a second plant here.

The plant will focus on producing energy-efficient lighting solutions in the country. Production is expected to commence by the end of 2008 and will become operational in phases.

The company will entail an investment of 15-20 million euros in the plant. By the end of 2009, the plant will have over 500 employees and will be spread over 40,000 sq mts.
