One killed, three injured in accident in Kangra

Dharamshala, Oct 4 (UNI) One person was killed and three injured after a tipper crashed into car at Raja Ka Bagh on the Pathankot-Mandi Highway, 65 km from here, in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh late last evening, police sources said today.

One person, identified as Pratik Sharma, died on the spot and three occupants injured after the speeding tanker first crashed into the car and came to a halt after hitting a tree.

The injured have been admitted to a government hospital at Nurpur sub divisional hospital, they said.

The sources said the driver of the tipper was absconding after the incident and efforts are on to arrest him.

Police have registered a case under Section 304 A and 279 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and investigations are on.
