Kumaraswamy rules out seeking Congress support

Bangalore, Oct 4 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumarswamy today ruled out seeking Congress support in the present political situation for continuing to be in power.

Talking to newsmen, on the sidelines of a programme at Victoria Hospital here, he said that "JD (S)-BJP coalition government was still alive and for the moment the question of seeking Congress support does not arise." Mr Kumaraswamy said that he would take a final decision on transfer of power to BJP after the Political Affairs Committee Meeting to be held in New Delhi tomorrow.

Earlier, Mr Kumarswamy inaugurated the Institute of Nephrology-Urology set up at a cost of Rs 15 crore at the Victoria Hospital premises. The 200-bed hospital will provide a comprehensive preventive and curative health care services and also to overcome the difficulties faced by the weaker section of the society.
