JD(S) workers block Kumaraswamy's path, urge him to continue as CM

Bangalore, Oct 3 (UNI) Police had a tough time as JD(S) workers did not let the Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to return home after paying a 'courtesy call' to Governor Rameshwar Thakur this evening.

As soon as Mr Kumaraswamy, accompanied with some of his cabinet colleagues, came out of the Raj Bhavan after a 40-minute discussion with the Governor, the party workers laid down before the Chief Minister's convoy and did not allow the CM to leave.

They shouted slogans in support of the Mr Kumaraswamy Chief Minister and demanded him to continue as the Chief Minister to continue in the post and not hand over the post to the BJP.

They raised slogans like "Kumaranna zindabad, you don't step down' in front of the main gate of the Raj Bhavan.

A little time later police bodily removed the frenzied workers from the path of the Chief Minister.
