IG clarifies never part of recruitment boards

Lucknow, Oct 4 (UNI) Secretary (Home) and senior IPS officer Javeed Ahmed today clarified that he was not part of the police recruitment boards, which are currently under the scanner of the Uttar Pradesh government for alleged irregularities.

Referring to a report published from Badaun district, Mr Ahmed said his name was incorrectly published as being part of the recruitment process. ''I am an IG level officer...it was DIG level officer Javed Akhtar who was part of the board,'' he said.
