HCL Tech enters into infra mgmt deal with Hercules

New Delhi, Oct 4 (UNI) IT major HCL Technologies Ltd today said it has entered into a infrstructure management agreement with Hercules Incorporated, a leading manufacturer and marketer of specialty chemicals.

The scale of engagement will include end-to-end IT infrastructure management across datacentre, network, IT security, desktop and help desk services.

The company has already completed the first phase of transitioning certain IT operations and is currently managing the majority of live operations of Hercules' IT Infrastructure in the US, it said in a statement.

The transition of additional infrastructure support in Europe will be completed within the next month, it added.

Following the transition period, the collaborative co-sourcing arrangement is planned to comprise approximately 60 per cent offshore and 40 per cent on-site work distribution to help ensure 24x7 availability of Hercules' IT operations.

''We have a unique approach to IT infrastructure management service delivery that offers our customers enhanced value in the short term as well as over the life of the relationship,'' Anant Gupta, COO, HCL Technologies (infrastructure service division) said.
