Euro worth Rs 10 lakh seized
Chennai, Oct 4 (UNI) Air customs officials have seized bundles of Euro currencies from a Singapore-bound passenger here last night.
Airport sources said acting on information, the officials checked the baggage of one Rangaraj (37), hailing from Thanjavur, when he was about to board a Singapore Airlines flight.
On examination of his suitcase, bundles of Euro currencies worth Rs 10.5 lakh in Indian value were found.
As he gave contradictory replies about the source of the currencies, officials detained him for interrogation.
