BSNL to extend broadband facility in Kodagu
Madikeri, Oct 4 (UNI) BSNL has extended the broadboard facility to the hilly district of Kodagu, Circle General Manager S R Chandra said here today.
Addressing media persons, he said that Madikeri had 107 connections so far and it would be increased to 480. In all, BSNL would provide connection to about 6500 customers.
He said 26 new mobile towers would be erected in the district in the near future. While Madikeri and Somwarpet taluks get nine towers each, four towers each would be put up in Somwarpet and Virajpet taluks.
The district BSNL was likely to get certification for the best customer service. The department had eight customer service centers and 76 exchanges in the district. About 45,728 landline connections were given in Kodagu, he added.
