9 killed, 15 injured in two accidents in K'taka

Bangalore, Oct 4 (UNI) Nine people were killed and 15 others injured in two accidents in Karnataka today.

Police said seven people were killed, six on the spot and one in the hospital, and 15 others injured near Harohalli in Ramanagara district when a tempo traveller in which they were travelling collided with an autorickshaw and a scooter.

The injured were admitted to Government Hospitals at Ramanagara and Kanakapura.

In another mishap, two people were killed on the spot when a fish-ladan van collided head on with a lorry near Dharwad on Pune-Bangalore NH bypass here.

The van was on its way to Belgaum from Ankola when the accident occurred. The victims were identified as Srinath Mungadi, driver of the van, and Rafik Mulla, both hailing from Tadadi in Uttar Kannada district.
