PGIMER's doctor honoured for paper on pancreatitis

Chandigarh, Oct 3 (UNI) Dr. Lipi Singh, Research Scholar, Department of General Surgery at PGIMER was honoured with the Best Paper Award for research in the field of Chronic pancreatitis at annual conference of Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology, recently held at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi 2007.

The research paper entitled: "Role of chemokines and their receptors in mitochondrial dysfunction and chronic pancreatitis" gives insight the pathophysiology as well as pathogenesis of the inflammatory disease, a PGIMER release said.
