One NSCN-IM, Three others killed in ambush in Kohima

Kohima, Oct 3 (UNI) Four people including an NSCN rebel were killed when unidentified gunmen ambushed their car in Kohima this afternoon.

The victims, who included an NSCN-IM cadre and three others, were gunned down at AG Colony in the town.

Official sources said two of the victims were workers of a political party, while the other was former Chief Administrative Officer of Chakhesang Region of NSCN-IM. The attackers shot them from a close range and all the four occupants died on the spot.

The incident occurred at around 1300 hours when the attackers fired about twenty rounds of gunshots. Police also recovered two pistols from the vehicle.

Police later identifed the bodies with the help of their relatives.
