Name of Congress presd Sonia Gandhi recommended for Nobel prize

New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) A Delhi-based organisation has recommended Congress president Sonia Gandhi for the Nobel Peace Award.

Delhi-based 'International Awakening Centre (IAC) has sent letters to five Nobel Prize selection committee, by the Norwegian Nobel Institute Director Geir Lundestad, so that Ms Gandhi's name should be considered.

In his letter to the committee members, the IAC president Mazaz Mungeri said Ms Gandhi's name be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize 2007 for dedicating her goodwill, human love and international integrity.

In his letter, Mr Mungeri said,''Ms Sonia Gandhi is not only much famous in India but also in the world. She has been announced a powerful woman by the international Forbes magazine.'' ''She is not only in favour of peace with India's neighbours but also wants peace with others. She has a dream of a world where there would be no place for violence,''the letter said and requested the Nowegian Institute to include her name in the committee for the Nobel Peace Prize, 2007.
