Hyderabad to host National Service Sector Conclave on Oct 9

Bangalore, Oct 3 (UNI) A One-day National Service Sector Conclave on 'Healthcare Services: Next Practices and Mantras for Survival' will be held in Hyderabad on October 9.

Conclave Chairman and Wockhardt Hospitals Group Chief Executive Officer Vishal Bali said today that there was an urgent need for popularising Group Medical Insurance in the country.

Speaking to newspersons here he said the Conclave would address the burning issues in health field including private-public participation, latest developments in medical field and about affordability of medical facility available in the country.

Though India was becoming the destination for international health tourism, it had yet to provide proper health care for all sections of society.

Though the country had made a tremendous progress in Health field during the last decade, there was still a long way to go.

Medical Insurance, which was facing teething problems, had now been growing at the rate of 40 per cent to 45 per cent but what needed was good management practice to further popularise the schemes.

There would be five plenary sessions including on Public-Private Partnership, Operation and Gap between Availability and Sustainability of Human Resources, Leveraging Technology--Building Value, Benchmarking Quality with International Standards and Healthcare: The Way Forward.
