Criminal caught at Howrah station with 12 country-made pistols

Kolkata, Oct 3 (UNI) Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel today apprehended a criminal and seized 12 country-made pistols from him at the Howrah station.

The criminal, identifed as Md Safi Alam, carrying pistols in a bag was caught while getting down from the 3072 Dn Jamalpur Express at Howrah car shed, in the arly hours.

Alam's two accomplices, however, fled from the running train, RPF sources said.

The criminal was handed over to the GRP for further investigation.

The RPF and GRP, in association with state police had launched a massive hunt to arrest the two others.
