CPI to organise padayatra from Oct 6 to press demands

Puducherry, Oct 3 (UNI) The local unit of the CPI will organise a padayatra at 14 centers in Puducherry and Karaikal regions for three days from October six to press their demands.

Party state secretary Na Ra Kalainathan, addressing a press conference here today said the party's administrative committee meeting held here yesterday had discussed various issues, including rise in price of essential commodities, life saving medicines and urged the Centre to take steps to roll back the prices.

He said to press these demands, the meeting resolved to organise the padayatra.
