Woman arrested for smuggling Bangladeshi currency

Basirhat, Oct 2 (UNI) The BSF personnel have arrested a woman from Bhitaree under Swarupnagar police station in North 24 Paraganas for smuggling Bangladeshi currency.

BSF sources here today said the commanders intercepted a woman, identified as Sefali Saha of Arshikari village at West Bengal- Bangladesh border, while she was trying to cross the international border yesterday.

The commanders also recovered Bangladeshi currency worth Rs 1,25,500 from the woman and was later handed over to the police, the sources said.
