FINO partners PNB for smart cards; targets rural masses

New Delhi, Oct 2 (UNI) Mumbai-based technology solutions provider Financial Information Network and Operations Ltd (FINO) today partnered with Punjab National Bank for providing smart card solutions to the rural masses.

''Targetted at meeting the needs of banking and MFI sectors in rural India, FINO will be providing Punjab National Bank 'No Frill Accounts' (Zero Balance Saving Accounts) for carrying out transactions on FINO Smart-Cards and POT Devices,'' said a statement.

''With PNB's major thrust area to put into practice Financial Inclusion in Northern and Indo-Gangetic belt of India, this project combines the common synergies of FINO and PNB to bring unbanked sector to banking sector,'' said FINO CFO and President (Sales and Marketing) Rishi Gupta.

UNI
